One of my favorite things about living and working in Dripping Springs is watching our community continue to grow while still holding onto what makes it feel like the Hill Country.
I’m Jenny Cureton, a longtime Dripping Springs resident and Realtor with Compass, and after more than 18 years in the area, I’ve watched Dripping Springs change tremendously. New neighborhoods, restaurants and businesses continue to pop up, and I love finding the locally owned spots that add something different to our community.
One of the newest additions is Ziggi’s Cafe, a Greek cafe on Ranch Road 12 near downtown Dripping Springs.
Something Different for Dripping Springs
Ziggi’s brings a little taste of Greece to Dripping Springs with a menu of Greek favorites, coffee, pastries and desserts.
You’ll find everything from souvlaki and pita sandwiches to spanakopita and Greek salads, along with cappuccinos, lattes, Greek style coffee drinks, baklava and other pastries.
I always love seeing another locally owned restaurant open in Dripping Springs, especially when it brings something we didn’t already have.
Why Our Local Spots Matter
Dripping Springs has grown considerably since I first moved to the area, but I think the locally owned businesses are a huge part of what keeps our community interesting.
We now have an incredible mix of restaurants, breweries, wineries, coffee shops and small businesses, while still being surrounded by the acreage, views and open spaces that originally drew so many of us here.
It’s one of the things I talk about frequently with people considering a move to Dripping Springs.
Buyers aren’t just asking me about houses.
They want to know where we eat, where we grab coffee, what’s opening, where we go for happy hour and what there actually is to do on a Saturday.
Because where you live isn’t just about the house. It’s about everything around it.
Living in Dripping Springs
One of the things I love most about Dripping Springs is that you really can have both.
You can live on several acres with incredible Hill Country views and privacy and still be minutes from restaurants, coffee, shopping and some of the best local spots in the area.
That balance between country living and convenience continues to be one of the biggest reasons buyers are drawn to Dripping Springs real estate.
And as someone who both lives here and sells real estate here, I think knowing the community is just as important as knowing the housing market.
So if you haven’t tried Ziggi’s Cafe yet, add it to your list.
